This week Pastor Greg Laurie brings us closer together this Easter with a new message called “A New Day Dawning.” Join us as we remember Christ’s gift to us on the cross and His resurrection from the grave.
Application
Death died when Christ rose!
The only way we are coming out of the grave is because Jesus was willing to go into it.
The cross was Jesus’ goal and destination from the very beginning.
“They were very frightened but also filled with great joy.” Matthew 28:8
The phrase met them, speaks of a common greeting, like “hi” or “good morning.”
If Jesus was not God, He would have never allowed worship.
“Jesus Himself suddenly came and began walking with them.” Luke 24:15
If it troubles us, it concerns Him!
With reignited hearts, burning with hope, they went back to be with the Christians.
Our hearts grow cold because we have distanced ourselves from God by distancing ourselves from believers.
Do revival-like things and personal revival will follow.
Personal revival can happen to you wherever you are!
If you want personal revival, do what you used to do when you were new in your faith.
The Three R’s of Getting Right with God:
Remember, repent, and repeat.
If you read your Bible every day, do that again!
If you were sharing your faith all the time, do that again!
If you were attending church every Sunday, do that again!
If you are a true Christian, you will want to be with God’s people.
A conducted study concluded that …
If both mom and dad attend church regularly, 72% of children remained faithful in attendance.
If only dad attends regularly, 55% remained faithful in attendance.
If only mom attends regularly, 15% remained faithful in attendance.
If neither attend regularly, 6% remained faithful in attendance.
God will reignite your hearts through hearing His Word.
Jesus suffered and died to show His love for us.
Some of us here are toward the end of our journey in life.
Jesus is waiting for an invitation to dinner; don’t leave Him on the road!
Jesus is waiting for you to say, “Come into my life.”
